Established in 1988 at the University of Pittsburgh, the mission of Biobehavioral Studies of Cardiovascular Disease is to understand how social, psychological, biological, and behavioral factors influence heart health. This mission is supported by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, as well as leading scientists and research volunteers from the Pittsburgh community. Ongoing research studies include the Neurobiology of Adult Health (NOAH) project and the Exercise, Brain, and Cardiovascular Health (eBACH) project.
